This guide was developed to not only empower and support Black African newcomer youth across Canada with access to support services, it is also intended to serve as a resource for service providers who serve our community. This event will introduce the resource guide and showcase the broader impact of this project
The guide is the result of collaborative efforts that features:
- A Needs Assessment Survey Results, highlighting key challenges and opportunities for Black African newcomer youth.
- A Directory of Community Organizations across Winnipeg, Halifax, and Toronto that provide essential services and support to Black African newcomer youth in the areas of health, education, employment, literacy, etc.
